Megan Savka, NP-C, is a board certified nurse practitioner who works alongside Dr.
Daniel Kim at Indiana Spine Group. She has spent her entire nursing career, beginning in 2010, working in neurosurgery, which she is very passionate about. In her role as a nurse practitioner, she provides neurosurgical care for patients in all settings, including the operating room, the hospital and the outpatient office. She specializes in the care and treatment of patients with all types of spinal disorders. Her responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting tests, first assisting with surgeries in the operating room, and caring for preoperative and postoperative patients in the office and the hospital.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, who live locally, as well as spending time outdoors whenever possible, hiking and being on the water.
Trace Shroyer, PA-C is a physician assistant with Indiana Spine Group who works alongside Dr. Zachary NaPier, MD. He was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN and completed his undergraduate degree at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. He returned home to complete his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Saint Francis.
Trace is committed to the care of patients with various types of spinal disorders. His responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, caring for patients in the hospital and evaluating patients in the outpatient clinic.
In his free time, Trace enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, working on the family farm and being active.
Andrew Walker, PA-C, MPAS was raised in central Indiana. He worked as an X-ray technologist prior to becoming a Physician Assistant. After graduating from Butler University with his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies, he joined Dr. Chambers’ team and has enjoyed working with him ever since.
Andrew sees and assesses his own patients, orders appropriate tests/imaging, and diagnoses appropriate spinal disease. He educates his patients to better help them understand their diagnosis as well as discusses management and treatment options that are right for them. He assists Dr. Chambers in the OR as well as with pre- and post-operative care.
Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and family, especially his nieces and nephews. He loves watching football and is a huge Colts fan! In his spare time, he works on home renovation projects.
Cari Walker, NP, is a compassionate, dedicated and patient-focused nurse practitioner with Dr. Rick Sasso at Indiana Spine Group. She is responsible for determining appropriate diagnostics and therapeutic procedures with both in and out patients and conducts medical histories and physical examinations for new and established patients. Cari performs routine post-op evaluations and urgent evaluations in the spine surgical setting and serves as a team leader.
