Daniel Kim, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in complex spine surgery. He attended medical school and completed his neurosurgical residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University, respectively. Dr. Kim has a neurosurgical focus on disorders of the spine. He is interested in all aspects of spinal care, including: degenerative conditions, trauma, revision surgeries, deformity and spine tumors.  He uses both open and minimally invasive techniques in the operating room, and he embraces the latest technology to make spinal surgery as safe and effective as possible. Dr. Kim has published on multiple neurosurgical topics and continues to be active with academic research. He currently serves as an editor for the International Journal of Spine Surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys the outdoors, barbequing, fishing and playing golf.

Dr Kim gave me my life back!! Removed herniated disc, put a cage in at C6 and fussed C5,6 &7. Shout out to Megan, Jessica and Kendra for all the support they provided to prepare for my surgery. It’s been 4 weeks and my arms & hands are no longer numb and have my strength back in both legs. Thanks again to all!!

Dr. Kim has been great. I have been to a dozen different doctors with no answers regarding my back pain.. diagnosed by Dr. Kim in my initial visit. Immediately scheduled for injections and subsequent surgery (successful).

Dr. Kim was extremely patient and took the time to truly listen to all of my concerns. He immediately discussed a clear plan to address my lower back pain, which gave me confidence from the very beginning. I live 2½ hours away and was referred to him by a family friend. After scheduling my surgery, I learned that another person had also recommended Dr. Kim to that same family friend. Both spoke very highly of him, sharing how he helped them regain their lives without daily, disabling pain. I am now almost two weeks post-surgery, and everything has gone exactly as Dr. Kim explained it would. He is easy to talk to, highly experienced, and incredibly skilled at what he does. I truly feel grateful to have found him. I also want to recognize Kendra, the scheduler. She is amazing — prompt, friendly, and extremely patient. She guided me through every step of the process from beginning to end and made everything so much easier.

Dr. Kim, his assistant Kendra and staff have always been kind, prompt & professional. They are also patient, attentive and very informative prior to surgery . Dr. Kim performed a Laminectomy and so far I’ve had no post op pain at all. I cannot even feel any incision at all. I was so worried prior to the surgery, but I see now I had nothing to worry about.
