Kierstyn McDaniel, PA-C is a physician assistant with Indiana Spine Group
working under the supervision of Dr. Ashwin Madupu. She grew up in New Castle, Indiana, where she continues to reside.
Kierstyn’s path in healthcare began early in surgical technology, graduating from surgical tech school in 2019. She worked as a certified surgical technologist for five years, gaining extensive hands-on experience in the operating room and developing a strong foundation in surgical care, precision, and teamwork. She later earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University East in 2023 before completing the Physician Assistant Program at Franklin College, graduating in February 2026.
In her current role, Kierstyn is responsible for comprehensive patient evaluations in the clinic, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, first assisting in surgery, and providing both pre-operative and post-operative care.
Outside of work, Kierstyn has been involved in gymnastics for much of her life, an experience that shaped her discipline, work ethic, and appreciation for movement and physical health. She is also a soon-to-be mom to her daughter and enjoys spending time with her husband and their miniature dachshund, Darla.
